Can AI read your website?
Enter your website to check, in seconds, whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI can access it — and what to fix first.
What this check covers — and what it doesn't
The free check answers one question: can AI systems technically reach and understand your site?It tests:
- AI crawler access in robots.txt for OpenAI (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User), Anthropic (ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User), Perplexity, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, Bingbot, Common Crawl and others.
- llms.txt and sitemap presence.
- Structured data (JSON-LD) and which schema.org types you use.
- Metadata: title, description, canonical, language, Open Graph.
- Readability: whether your main content is in the HTML or only appears after JavaScript runs.
It does not tell you whether AI assistants actually recommend you. That depends on your reputation across the web, your content and your competitors — and it is what ourAI Visibility Audit measures with real customer prompts.
About the free check
What does the free AI visibility check test?
It reads your public robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap and homepage, then checks whether major AI crawlers are allowed, whether your page content is readable without JavaScript, and whether you have structured data and metadata AI systems use.
Does this show whether ChatGPT recommends my business?
No. The free check covers technical readiness — whether AI can read you at all. Whether AI actually recommends you requires testing real customer prompts across engines, which is what the AI Visibility Audit does.
Why might AI crawlers be blocked without me knowing?
Common causes are a restrictive robots.txt from a template or plugin, CDN or firewall bot-blocking settings, and security tools that challenge non-browser visitors. The check flags robots.txt rules; CDN-level blocks may need a manual review.
Do you store the websites I check?
We keep basic, anonymous usage logs to prevent abuse. We do not contact you unless you submit the audit request form.
